This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.
Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

Be at least 18 years of age

Your exact instalments will depend on your chosen duration of study and prior experience and credit transfers.
Industry Currency uses an external merchant provider to facilitate collection of payments. This can result in additional charges for missed or failed payments. You will be required to complete a Direct Debit Request (DDR) during the enrolment process, which will include all of the fees and charges relating to collection of payment.
All courses require a $100 non-refundable deposit to cover administrative costs. This is included in the cost of the course.

About Placement
In order to complete this course successfully, you will be required to complete 120 hours of practical experience within an aged care facility.
Industry Currency have a great network of facilities and will locate placement on your behalf and place you somewhere close to home.
Practical placement is a great opportunity to demonstrate what you learned, create a great network of working professionals and have the opportunity to show future employers what you are capable of doing.
Practical placement does not guarantee a job.
Important information
You must have a clear police clearance when starting placement
Placement shifts are usually 7am to 3pm or 2pm to 10pm
You may be required to travel up to 30-minutes to get to placement
You will be supplied a polo shirt and a badge for placement
