The Urinary Catheter course provides the skills and knowledge to an individual

who is required to replace and dispose of bags and monitor the

health of people using indwelling and suprapubic catheters, which can be part of a

general support worker role

Performance tasks – Students will be required to demonstrate

the replacing and disposing of catheter bags


Documentation – Students will be required to complete a Catheter Care Log


Theory assessment – A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.
